We have a very large male alpaca (190+lbs, over 5ft tall at his nose), and I've been finding it difficult to get the crown piece to fasten on him. The fiber on his head is so dense, and he isn't even in full fleece yet. The last time I haltered him, I couldn't get the crown piece past the 3rd or 4th hole. The noseband fits him fine. He's a young (3 year old) male that we're going to be using for breeding, so I am going to need to have a halter that fits him for spit testing & breeding. What is bigger than an alpaca large, and will still fit him safely?
