We have a re-homed gelding, age unknown but most likely between 10 and 15. He seems to spit (I mean really SPIT!) for no apparent reason. I can be just standing next him and he is just as sweet as he can be....the next second he turns his head directly to me and spits! He is a frequent what I call 'sputter-spiter' (kind of a lips only spit). And, one does not only precede the other. Totally unpredictable from my perspective. All thoughts and suggestions are welcome. And, has anyone ever tried a spit mask? do they work? Thank you, Kathy
