My llamas have been on hay since late last fall when the grass died back. I have just fenced in more acreage that has lush, new fescue on it. Can I simply move the llamas to the new pasture and let them have at it or do I need to move them gradually? Do I need to monitor their grass intake? I am accustomed to dealing with horses that need monitoring on spring grass.
