Driving Directions: close to the geographic center of Ohio, McFarland's Llama Farm is located n SR 229 just 5 miles west of Mt. Vernon.
From North: Follow I-71 southbound to SR 13 (Mansfield exit). Go south to Mt. Vernon. Turn right (west) at intersection of SR 13 & SR 229. Follow 229 to farm. Note: 229 will turn right at a stop light at the edge of town. Our farm is on the left side of the road approx 5 miles from that light. You will see four-board fencing with the llamas. You want to enter via the second driveway with the brick/stone “McFarland” sign.
From South: Follow I-71 northbound to SR 61 (Mt. Gilead exit). Go west (left) on 61. Turn right (east) at the intersection of SR 61 and SR 229 (light). Stay on 229 (You will zig-zag through Marengo). Our farm is approx 5 miles east after you go through the intersection (light) of SR 314/Highland High School. The terrain will become hilly and you will see board fencing on the right side (probably without llamas). You want to enter via the second driveway with the brick/stone “McFarland” sign.
From East/West: Follow I-70 to I-71 in Columbus and then follow directions “from south” above. Mt. Vernon can also be accessed from SR 3 and/or SR 36. SR 229 west intersects SR 3 & 36 at the light on the west edge of Mt. Vernon. The farm is approx 5 miles west of that intersection on SR 229

Closest Major Airport: Columbus (CMH) (1 hour away) You can also fly into Cleveland (2 hours away) or Dayton (3 hours away)
Weather to expect: 60-70's Sunshine... mornings cool bring a light jacket, boots, sunblock and a hat.
