Once upon a time a couple decided to buy a lovely alpaca maiden for each other for Christmas…
Our herd has grown and during this process I’ve realized my interest in the handling and training aspect of the industry.  After teaching First Grade for thirty years my retirement was filled with teaching preschool and graduate level education courses. But, by far, my favorite retirement job is working with alpacas. This journey has taken me places I never expected!  I’ve proudly earned the Camelidynamic’s Handler’s Seal and am now classified as an Apprentice Practitioner. Presently I’m really enjoying the experiences of not only working with the alpacas and llamas --- but 40 years later, being a “student teacher” again -- this time in Camelidynamics! It’s so rewarding to be part of spreading the philosophy of Marty McGee Bennett’s Camelidynamics and working with owners and breeders as they realize their journey.  Teaching humans how to work with their alpacas and llamas with respect and results is just what I want to do.
