Apprentice Practitioner (AP): Rose Mogerman

Apprentice Practitioners pursue continuing Camelidynamics education through a great
deal of individual study and clinic attendance, as well as, practice teaching lessons to
others at no cost. This continuing education and practice teaching allows the individual
the time to more fully understand and practice the Camelidynamics techniques and
methodologies, while learning the additional skills required for teaching others.

As part of the learning experience apprentices provide a limited amount of instruction to a very
small number of people, at no charge. This minimizes the risk for the Apprentice,
Camelidynamics, the animals involved in the lesson, and the student(s) receiving the instruction.
Apprentice Practitioners will be evaluated by their students on both teaching and animal handling
skills. After each lesson the apprentice is also required to complete a self-evaluation of their
animal and teaching skills. These evaluations will be sent directly to Camelidynamics.

Early on in the business, I chased after animals in order to do herd health etc. I felt like there had to be a better way than what I had been taught by other breeders - it was just too hard - on the animals and us! I found Marty's book and starting trying some of the techniques and they improved herd health days tremendously but I still needed my husband to help me. After learning about the practitioners program, I decided to become fully committed to only Camelidynamic techniques for herd health, breeding, training and showing. My first advanced clinic blew me away!! I was so excited to get home and try all the new stuff I learned.
The alpaca chute, chasing and dread are now things of the past and I am proud to say I can do herd health on 98% of the animals on my farm all by myself. My commitment is to share my experiences with others so that they too may enjoy their animals and not dread herd health days or training for shows. It is a wonderful set of tools that make you have many a-ha moments. I praise Marty for developing this and sharing it with us and starting the practitioner program so that everyone can learn to treat their animals with kindness. In the last two years I have seen animals born on my farm get calmer, quieter and easier to handle (new improved two-legger, same alpacas/llamas). The overwhelming response I get from my visitors is "your animals are so calm, they do not even get up when you approach them". That is music to my ears !!
