Camelidynamics Handler Seal Farms and Ranches

Carthvean Farm, Cornwall, England

Julie and her husband Andrew live on Carthvean Farm in Cornwall England and operate Carthvean Alpacas (www.carthveanalpacas.com). Julie started keeping alpacas because she wanted to farm something that didn't involve killing, as they are both Buddhists and vegetarians. The Taylor-Browne's grow almost, if not all, their own organic food, prepare it masterfully, and serve as stewards to alpacas, llamas, mules, horses, minature sheep, bees, hens, and the beautiful and personable Golden Guernsey goats, whose milk they turn into goats cheese. Somehow she still finds time to ride her horse, Rose.

Julie Taylor-Browne from Cornwall, England is Europe's first certified Camelidynamics Practitioner. Julie attended her first Camelidynamics Clinic in 2003 after reading an article about Marty's work. In just a few short years, Julie has dedicated herself to the Camelidynamics Guild teaching program, taken on the equipment sales for England, visited the US four times to attend Advanced Clinics and organized the 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011 Camelidynamics tours and Advanced Camelidynamics Trainings in England. She is also a TTEAM Practitioner I for horses, and specializes in mules. She has achieved the highest level of teaching cerification in Camelidynamics, and now teaches as a Cemelidynamics Instructor through the UK, Europe and Scandinavia.

Evi recently began her training with Marty McGee Bennett and was certified as Camelidynamics Handler in July, 2011. From her personal perspective, "it is fun to watch the alpacas. They all have different personalities and characters, but what they all have in common is that they are very courious". She has committed herself to learning more about the behavior, training, and handling of these beautiful animals (with the large brown eyes that look right through you)as much as possible in the years to come. The ranch is on Baker creek, so the Alpacas don't need a sleep-machine, they have the creek running right in the front yard of their barn. You can keep up to date with the farm and animals on Facebook - Spanish Peaks Alpacas.
