Camelidynamics Camp Seeks Camelid Campers!
The new Camelidynamics Practitioner Program is attracting students from around the world. The keystone to the Practitioner's education is the 4-day Advanced Clinic. Our human students will arrive with varying levels of animal experience and training experience.
The Advanced Clinics are held at the new Camelidynamics Training Center in Bend, Oregon. Most Advanced Clinic students come from outside the area and cannot bring animals, so we've created the CAMELIDYNAMICS CAMP. This is the chance for llamas and alpacas to experience the Camelidynamics approach of respectful and effective training and handling.
We are in need of both llama and alpaca campers with interesting behaviors to participate in these Advanced Clinics. For 4-days, the camelid campers will be handled with respect and kindness while students learn the Camelidynamics training approach.
Camper profile:
We are seeking:
- Untrained animals
- Trained animals who have developed undesirable behaviors.
- Animals that have specific difficulties: spitting, kicking, inappropriate kushing, poor leading, etc.
- NOTE: Animals that are aggressive toward people are not eligible.
Campers from 2004 Advanced Clinic

Bunkhouse:
The Camelidynamics Training Center is a 10-acre, fully-fenced property. Animals will be housed in small paddocks and will have access to pastures for exercise.
Camper Activities:
Camelid campers will be handled daily with the kind and respectful principles and techniques of Camelidynamics. Campers will be haltered, TTOUCH massaged, lead through interesting obstacles, among other tasks. We will be shearing a limited number of animals and trimming toenails where possible.

Our philosophy precludes intensive restraint and force. For these reasons, we can progress only so much with any animal in four—day"s time. Therefore, we can make no guarantees animals will return home shorn and with toenails trimmed-although they very well may. Animals that have haltering and leading difficulties should make substantial progress during the clinic.
Camp counselors:
All animal handling will be supervised by Marty McGee Bennett.
Fees, Transport & Grub:
There is no charge for animals to attend. Camelid parents must provide food for the four days and transportation (delivery & pick-up).
Parent Days:
If you would like to attend as an observer to watch the progress of your camelid camper, we will do our best to give you a schedule of when your animal is likely to be worked with. Since attendance is limited and human students are paying to attend, parent involvement can only be in an observant role.
If you would like your animals to be at
the camp, AND you would like to be a student at the Advanced Clinic,
you are welcome to attend as a student.* (If you are already enrolled
and want to bring an animal, email marty@camelidynamics.com.)
The Advanced Clinics fill quickly,
so please let us know immediately if you are interested in attending
as a student.
*pre-requisite of one two-day basics clinic required
Camper Evaluation:
Every camper will receive an evaluation of their behavioral challenges and the solutions to these challenges prepared by Apprentice Practitioners.
